From someone anonymous:

Hmmm, seems they left out the part where their "noble leader" Walt fired all the animators when
they wanted to bring in the union in the 1950's. Oh, yea, and the part where Miyasaki pays all of his artists next
to nothing so that 30 year veterans can only afford to live under their desks and eat ramen.

Does this guy really believe this stuff? These whiners need to get over themselves. I do have to agree with the
way the animaticus guy was depicted in this thing though- sitting at his desk feeling sorry for himself instead of
learning some new techniques and getting on with his life. What a joke.

as much as i value the enormous contribution of walt disney to the medium, animation goes beyond hand drawn animation by disney. or even miyasaki for that matter (which I also love). this short is so very limited in its view. bottom line is that the filmmaker is just ranting about the so called "good ole days" and maybe he doesn't really get what walt was really about. walt wasn't about 2D, he was about giving life to characters in whatever creative medium is best to serve that character's story.
