Do you use archived posts? Feedback needed!
Yesterday Dr. Makarewicz mentioned a great resource site for graph editor scripts by Aaron Koressel. Go check it out, you'll like it.
I was curious to see if I posted about that and I found a link to it on my pre-Spungella site Academy Animation. It was part of two-post heads-up to check out Mr. Blake's Art Diary. Here's part 1 and here's part 2.
This made me think about the older site.
Should I re-post useful posts from the AAU site?
Should I just post quick reminders to a few older posts?
Or is that not needed because you check out the "Post Archives" and "Best-of Spungella" links?
This might sound mean (but it's not intended to be), but I'm always assuming that people are lazy (me included). That's why I created the AAU blog, Spungella and Animation Buffet in the first place. So people don't have to spend/waste time looking for things all over the web, they can just come to a centralized spot that redirects them, a spot that does the looking for them.
But since people are lazy, are they actually going through older posts? What do you guys do and think? Please leave a comment. I'd like to make this site as streamlined and useful as possible.

I am lazy :) I have gone through the "Best of" and "Post Archives" twice I think because I was looking for something specific you mentioned.
I don't think you need to re-post, but reminders seem like a good idea.
When posting something new, if you feel like there was an older post that could explain it better or is related, you could just link it there. That would save time on making a new section on its own for older posts.
Hope that helps. :)
i checked all the links, and if i need something i just go back, no problemo!
so for me its perfect, only i'm still waiting for the workflow post to be finished :-):-)
I did know that sometimes I go back to your old blog/ site to look for something I want, sometimes I did get confused if it was in your newer blog or the older one and had to do a double search. Regardless, I am fine with it. Still, if you make a double post I would NEVER ever complain about it, because I think revising on stuff you used to mention about is still a good way to study too.
Also, your labels are very useful too! I don't see how difficult it is to search for something I want in your blog.
Overall, I really love your posts a lot and keep a tight watch a lot. The recommended sites, artists, blogs, tips on animation and so on have always been very useful to me.
If i'm looking for something, i'm never too lazy to search for it. i agree that you can perhaps mention that it is on the site, so we know to look for it. Plus for me it's more fun to search, then i find other stuff that i missed before:)
Hey all,
thanks for the feedback! Sounds like so far so good!
Regis: I know, me too. :)
I have to finish a "Dirt" tutorial first, then I want to get going on my "Grading A to F" comparison post, which might have things bleeding into the workflow post. :)
i love the best of spungella tab..so i can immediately browse through the stuff i want! btw, thanks for all your awesome post jean :)
no problemo, one day :-) I lvoe to read all the other stuff too, it gives ideas, keeps you sharp.
Hey jean, i have gone through the older posts for about 3-4 times and i find it really helpful as i recollect some important posts and its like a quick refreshment to my brain. Quick reminders would be better i guess , It rather saves your work too.
Thnx jean
I agree with previous posts, I think reminders would be enough help.
I check all the links. Especially the older ones. I'm lazy but I can't get enough of this stuff and probably spend too much time searching for stuff. So thanks for putting it all in one place.
