Listen to a Movie

I thought I had posted about this site before but I guess not. Either way, check out listentoamovie.com and, as the name says, listen to a full movie (or commentary). It's great for finding good audio pieces to animate to.
The Big Picture

Besides fantastic pictures in general boston.com's The Big Picture has a great collection of 2010 World Cup pictures and with such a competitive sport you'll always find very emotional and energetic pictures. Great reference!

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II - Trailer
This trailer is absolutely bad ass! The lighting is so cool at the beginning!
Animation Buffet facelift and new rig
Animation Buffet got a little design tweak and I added a new rig called B-boy. The rig was sent to me a long time ago but I lost the email. If you know who made this rig please let me know for credits.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Spring 2010 SOS Workshop #1 is DONE!

Yesterday was a bittersweet last session, ending another SOS workshop. I've known most of the animators in that workshop since the AAU days and now after having graduated they are off, applying for jobs and getting awesome offers. I'm really proud of everybody and wish them nothing but the best!
Thanks for all those Tuesdays filled with laughter!!

Rango

Well look at that! We have a teaser site for our first animated feature. And there's an awesome teaser trailer. It sure is a teaser, but it cracked me up. Head over to Apple for it and rangomovie.com for (a little) more (so far).

Goutte d'Or - trailer
Goutte d'Or - trailer from Happy Flyfish on Vimeo.
The official trailer from our stop motion short film Goutte d'Or - a film by Christophe Peladan, produced by Soren Fleng for Happy Flyfish. We are still on progress with the film (as of 26 May 2010) and expect to complete the film in the early autumn 2010.

Noodle Woman - Critique
I'm putting all the feedback posts up on the Spungella Feedback page, so it's more centralized for the Workshop takers. I will still post notices here, but the full text can be found here.
Of course if you prefer to not have your work online, just let me know beforehand.
Hector: Badge of Carnage Episode 1

There's a great new game out for the iPhone/iPod Touch called Hector: Badge of Carnage. You can hop over to Touch Arcade for a review of the game. I'm a big fan of adventure games in the style of the good old SCUMM games from Lucasarts. The style is more flash animation than pixel art, but it's funny and very entertaining to play. A must have like Beneath a Steel Sky and Monkey Island!
