Dude, this is obvious not rotoscope.... Anyone who knows a little bit about animation these days knows that the best way to animate a cat it is using motion capture. And I bet Aditi used motion capture sensors in her cat, Sylvester, to do this. I heard putting the sensors in Sylvester paws was really painful to Aditi who came to school all scratched the very next day. But the final product looks great! So I guess those injures were worth it. Very nice Aditi, I can’t wait to see the new motion capture you are doing with your whale, Willy!
True, U can take all the pains to put sensors on a cat to do , even have a certified animal trainer to distract the cat and even jump it to the window , and keep doing it for the entire day or 2-4 days straight..
, then fix the graphs , keep perfecting them , till motion looks smooth , and finally rotoscope the entire thing for feature animation..
I disagree.. its looks to me hand animated, if it for her demoreel.. and some one needs to pay close attention to her tail..
Btw, I didnt know u can modify a dog rig to a cat :) well done aditi!!

Nice!
This makes me miss my cat!! Nice one Aditi!
(sorry about the other post, logged into the wrong account!)
Beautiful :)
Awesome, good job Aditi !
looks rotoscoped... still cool tho
really good..
feels a little rushed - not the timing but the actions all the cat does. Cats tend to think a little more before acting.
Would be nice to see the secondary tail after the cat is on the window sill.
Nice animation! Can anyone tell me where the rig is from?
Could you post on here where you got the rig and is it free for public use? Thanks.
Rotoscoped... Of course accusations like that come from someone anonymous.
But hey, rotoscoped means that Aditi really nailed it then. :)
I'll ask about the rig in case she doesn't comment here.
Sorry JD my previous comment didn't make any sense. (Wasn't thinking clearly enough).
I suppose if someone did a very well done human animation they would think it's motion captured. Then again that's always the case. :)

Btw. Aditi said that is a modified dog rig, which is in the AAU library.
Modified dog rig? I don't remember seeing that in the library...
@Anonymous..
