AAU, Graduation and The Job Search

As all AAU students know, the Pixar classes are no more. There's a post about it on the Splinedoctors site and the comment section is very interesting. If you have any input, I encourage you to post a comment as well.

Among the comments you'll find a link to the cgsociety forums. Don't close your browser before reading the entry post by "Joe" the FX artist. Fantastic pieces of advice, don't miss it!

That's too bad. But I'm sure they had their reasons. With a heated discussion like that, some people might go a bit too far in their comments.

Btw. on which site are the comments deleted? I don't see any of that on the splinedoctors section.

I think someone should print all the reply and sent it to the directors, or president of AAU. They're the poeple who are really need to know the truth.

I forwarded the thread to Armstrong and Bertino.

In terms of what, teaching?

Honestly, I was very nervous to post there... I hope my opinion doesn't hurt me later. I would do the anonymous thing but I felt that I do care about my education in the University enough I wanted to reveal myself.

I think that thread do need to reach out to the directors in the University. Then again I also felt most of the people there should attend to the Town Hall Meeting to address the issues. Not a lot showed up many times in my opinion.

It's important to voice concerns, I wouldn't be worried about that.

It's not surprising that not a lot of people show up during those meetings. It's easy to complain anonymously or between friends, but most people won't do something about it. That's just how it is.

yeah..teaching..big shoes to be filled.

Hahaha, nice! I'm not the only one though. :)
