Be prepared for the unexpected.

I'm big on having a Plan B and even Plan C regarding as many situations as I can. It has nothing to do with not being committed to Plan A, but I just like to be prepared. Some aspects in your life demand a Plan B, others not so much, but better safe than sorry, no?

So far I've been doing good except today, where a previously held commitment fell apart due to my inability to plan ahead enough for something unexpected. It is not my place nor intention to talk about the specifics of this situation, I just wanted to mention it and maybe this post can serve as a reminder to people (and myself) to be mindful of your surroundings and how you go about things. I know this sounds super vague and I should probably tie it in with something more animation specific (plan out your shots, be ready for unpredictable client notes, etc.), but for now let's keep it short.

Hey Jean-Denis, hope it's nothing too serious that's going on, and your plan B gets you back on track. Thanks for the reminder.. it's always a good idea to have back up plans..keeps you sharp and on your feet.

I like this post. I always keep in mind to have a plan, even it is just about getting the kids from school. My wife hates it but it keeps my mind from worrying :-)

I don't know how serious your situation is but look at the good side. You learn from that mistake and I'm sure you will not do it again.
Wish you good luck JD.

Thanks Dew! I sure learned, at least that.

No matter how much I plan ahead the unexpected will and does happen. When things go array I take a deep breath think about all the things that have gone right in my life and except the lesson that life is banging me with. Thanks for the post and I too hope that what happen was not to bad. :)

Just in case the whole acting thing doesn't work out for him!
