Well knowing my Disney history, Walt hated Oswaldt the Rabbit after it was stolen from him, thats why he created Mickey Mouse, so not sure if Walt was alive if he would have approved this choice anyways.
Well it could be seen as Disney's revenge, since they've saved Oswald from the evil clutches of Universal :P
Other than that, I hate that 3D version of mickey where you can litteraly see his ears slide on his head... When you see his profile, it feels like he's got a mohawk or something....
