blame AM for that "getting better" part...most of the animators at prana are from AM...

Ah... good old anonymous posts.

Since it looks better, AM is doing a good job teaching then. Question is, how much are the Planes movies influencing the cost strategies? Must cost a lot less to do those movies. How is that affecting other companies?

I for some reason thought that Disney Toon Studios (based in LA) was animating the planes movies.

That's what I thought too but I've heard numerous times now that it's being outsourced.

The leadership of the various departments is in Glendale, CA. But the bulk of the work is being done abroad.

Well, however it's being made, kids like it and it creates job. I say bring on sequels. Better than spending a ton on animation schools and then having no job.

Is the Reason behind Outsourcing is that the Studios cannot afford to produce less budget movies or tv series in the US? from what i have heard Outsourcing exist in every field....i really wish every country produced their own good quality Animated movies instead of bringing work from outside,In India most of the movie made here is really shit (except for some rare movies)....look at this trailer you will know http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZmpE_TWX4c

3 to 4 AM students can't pull out the whole movie. Besides out of 4 only 2 would be working on Planes :P and being a junior most probably they wouldn't even get a decent shot to work with. Well there are people who have worked on Planes 1 and were stuck with 2 as well. Credit would go mostly to Disney toon having Two of AM's mentors on board to supervise the film, if I am not wrong in what I've heard. And it's true bulk of the work is been done in India I heard. Reason for the out source, wayyyy... cheap and sorta labour work, at least considering what artist's are been paid and the amount of work that's been squeezed out of them.

The trailer Mr. Aloke shared would be considered worst amongst worse for sure. Not sure when will Indian studios or perhaps investors get out of same old mythology tricks. There is plenty of talent and stories that needs to see the day light :P Use those talents India. Here take a look at this, something I would say is way better than go mythological with highly paid celebrities for voice overs with crap quality - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEuhYEjO2b0
